Parks & Playgrounds: Englewood City Park

By Emy Sloan

Englewood City Park is set back in a peaceful wooded area in Northeast Salem. There are plenty of beautiful conifer and deciduous trees and lots of space to run around in. There’s a fun playground area and best of all an awesome splash fountain!

Located right off of Market on 19th Street (behind Englewood Elementary School) this gorgeous 7 acre park is a great place to sit back, relax and let the kids go wild.

The playground consists of two large climbing play structures and two swing sets. One with standard swings and one with baby swings. You’ll find slides, ladders, bars, climbing walls, tunnels and more.

It’s the perfect place for a birthday party or any other type of family gathering. The tall trees provide lots of shade and there are plenty of picnic tables and benches throughout the park to accommodate a large group of people.

There is a multi-purpose basketball/tennis court on site as well as an area to play horseshoes. There are no bathrooms, however, so be sure to plan accordingly!

The fountain is an absolute blast. The water shoots super high into the air! It collects enough at the bottom for the kids to really be able to get in and get soaked. It’s a great way to cool off on a hot day.

We love it here!!
