Weathers Street Park is conveniently located right off of Lancaster Drive in North Salem. The play equipment is in good condition and the park itself is very well taken care of.
There’s a fun playground with a sheltered picnic area close by, a nicely maintained basketball court and a large open grassy play area. There are even skateboarding rails along the paths!
This city park consists of a little over 4 acres. There are two climbing play structures. One for the older kids, and one designed specifically for children ages 2-5. There’s also an interesting rock wall structure, swings (including baby swings) and a teeter-totter!
The playground is in direct sun, but there is shade to be found under the covered picnic area. There are plenty of benches and a drinking fountain. There are no bathrooms on site. There is so much room to run around on the grass and a short walking path that winds around the grounds.
Overall it’s a good place to take the kids to burn off some of that crazy energy!
