Albany’s Christmas Storybook Land is celebrating their 40th anniversary! Over the years this amazing community event has been delighting people of all ages during the holiday season. It’s a beautifully decorated Christmas walk-through adorned with characters and scenes from classic children’s stories, nursery rhymes, movies, etc. There are twinkling lights everywhere, working train model displays, a teddy bear winter wonderland, a charming Victorian Village and of course…Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Storybook Land was designed to provide the community with something magical and fun to do during the Christmas season. Made possible entirely by volunteers, it is free for everyone enjoy! Donations of canned food are encouraged. Every year thousands of items are collected and given to the local food bank to help families in need.
I loved coming here as a child. It’s been absolutely amazing getting to carry on this magical holiday tradition with my own children. They still have the same old classics I remember and have updated throughout the years as well. Favorites such as the Little Mermaid, Old McDonald, the Wizard of Oz, Finding Nemo, the Grinch, Frosty the Snowman and so many more!
I just want to say THANK YOU to all of the people that come together to make this magical wonderland land come alive each year!
This is such an amazing gift to the community and there are SO many ways to get involved! Bring donations when you visit! Volunteer, sponsor or even make a cash donation! More information can be found on their website.
